★ Very rare issue of Gregorios Taronites from Trebizond ★
Gregorios Taronites, Duke of Trebizond, 1103-1106. Follis (Bronze, 2.96 g, 21 mm). Bust of Christ, bearded, with cross behind head, wearing tunic and kolobion. Holding Gospels in left hand; in fields, IC - XC. Rev. A-Λ/ Β-P Jeweled cross. DOC 13a. Nearly very fine. Very rare.
