Germany, County of Hessen-Darmstadt, Ludwig V, Thaler Nidda 1623 - RARE Rare thaler from the county of Hessen. Under the bust are the initials IHS of the mintmaster of the mint in Nidda, Hans Heinrich Schlehenbusch. The reverse is struck with a slightly damaged stamp. Plenty of mint bloom.
Obverse: bust in armor and cloak, with a high ruff, facing right LVDOVICVS DG LANDG HASSIÆ COM I CA Reverse: four-field coat of arms with a Hessian lion of a central shield, under three helmets (Katzenelnbogen, Hesse and Ziegenhain) INTE DOMINE COM FIDO ANNO 1623
Diameter 43 mm, weight 29.22 g Rzadki talar hrabstwa Hesji. Pod popiersiem inicjały IHS mincmistrza mennicy w Niddzie, Hansa Heinricha Schlehenbusch. Rewers wybity lekko uszkodzonym stemplem. Justunek na awersie. Połyskowy egzemplarz.
