Austria, Leopold I, Medal of defeat of the Ottoman siege of Vienna 1683 - VERY RARE Very rare medal commemorating the defeat of the Ottoman siege of Vienna in 1683. Medal by H. Haffner, minted in Nuremberg. Medal is dated in the form of a chronogram on both sides, which is quite unusual for this type of issue. Significant number of medals were minted to commemorate the great defeat of the Turks at Vienna in 1683. However, this item was designed by the Nuremberg engraver H. Haffner in a rather unusual way, as both sides of this medal are more often found in combination with other reverses. The obverse is paired with a reverse depicting a fleeing Turkish army, and the current reverse (used as the obverse) is paired with a reverse depicting storks nesting peacefully on a Viennese chimney.

Bardzo rzadki medal upamiętniający klęskę osmańskiego oblężenia Wiednia w 1683 roku. Medal autorstwa H. Haffnera, wybity w Norymberdze. Egzemplarz datowany w formie chronogramu po obu stronach, co jest dość nietypowe jak na tego typu emisje. Wybito znaczną liczbę medali upamiętniających wielką klęskę Turków pod Wiedniem w 1683 roku., jednakże ta pozycja została zaprojektowana przez rytownika norymberskiego H. Haffnera w dość nietypowy sposób, ponieważ obie strony tego medalu są częściej spotykane w połączeniu z innymi rewersami . Awers znajduje się w połączeniu z rewersem przedstawiającym uciekającą armię turecką, a obecny rewers (wykorzystywany jako awers) znajduje się w połączeniu z rewersem przedstawiającym bociany gniazdujące spokojnie na wiedeńskim kominie.
