Description

COINS OF THE GREEK WORLD. KUSHAN KINGS. Huvishka, c. 152-192. 1/4 Dinar subsidiary mint in Gandhara (Peshawar?). Diademed and crowned half-length bust of Huvishka to left on clouds, flames at shoulder, holding mace-scepter and goad. Rv. Nana, nimbate, wearing fillet and crescent, standing right, holding scepter and box; to right, tamgha. 1.96 g. ANS Kushan 760. MK 315. Minor traces of mounting. About very fine. (~€ 265/USD 305) From an old Swiss collection, formed in the mid 20th century, most likely acquired from Dr. H. Nussbaum in Zurich.
