COINS OF THE GREEK WORLD. PTOLEMAIC KINGDOM. Arsinoe II, wife of Ptolemy II, died 270 BC. Gold octodrachm (Mnaieion) c. 180-145 BC, Alexandria, struck under Ptolemy IV. Diademed and veiled head of Arsinoe II to right; lotus-tipped scepter in background; to left Κ. Rv. ΑΡΣΙΝΟΗΣ - ΦΙΛΑΔΕΛΦΟΥ Filleted double cornucopia with grape bunches hanging at sides. 27.81 g.
