COINS OF THE GREEK WORLD. SELEUCID KINGDOM. Antiochus VII Euergetes (Sidetes), 138-129. Tetradrachm SE 176 = 137/6 BC, Tyre. Diademed head of Antiochos VII to right. Rv. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIOXOY Eagle with closed wings standing left on ship's ram; behind, palm branch; in field to left, A/PE above monogram set on club; in field to right, monogram above cOP; between the eagle's legs, monogram of ΗΓ. 14.04 g. SC 2109.4a. Beautifully toned. About extremely fine. (~€ 440/USD 505) From an old Swiss collection, formed in the mid 20th century, most likely acquired from Dr. H.
