The inscription on reverse ΑΙΟΛΕΩΝ is found also at the neighbour city of Kyme, which with Myrina are two of the eleven cities of Aiolis enumerated by Herodotus. A similar reverse type is represented also on a coin of Myrina in the time of Annia Faustina (Imhoof-Blumer, GM, p.633, 249).
