Thessaly, Larissa AR Drachm. Circa 420-400. Head of the nymph Larissa to right wearing pearl earring, her hair raised and bound in a sakkos; border of dots / Free horse prancing to left, rein trailing below; above and below, ΛΑΡΙ (left to right)-ΣΑΙΑ (right to left). F. Herrmann, 'Die Silbermünzen von Larissa in Thessalien' in ZfN 35, 1925, pl. 4, 5 (same dies); Lorber, Thessalian 62 (same dies); BCD Thessaly I 1130 (same obv. die); BCD Thessaly II 376.4 (same obv. die); cf. Good Very Fine; light cabinet tone. Very Rare.
