Description

Seleukid Empire, Antiochos IV Epiphanes AR Drachm. Uncertain eastern mint, 175-164 BC. Diademed head to right / Apollo Delphios seated to left on omphalos, testing arrow and resting hand on bow; [Β]ΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to right, [A]NTIOXOY to left; uncertain monogram in left field, ΔK in exergue. Cf. SC 1565; HGC 9, 623g. 4.24g, 14mm, 6h.

Near Extremely Fine; superb quality, beautiful tone with hints of blue iridescence. Extremely Rare; no examples in CoinArchives.
