Description

Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Ptolemy II Philadelphos AV Trichryson - Pentadrachm. Alexandria, circa 275-272 BC. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis around neck / ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ, eagle standing to left on thunderbolt; monogram above Galatian shield to left, P between eagle's legs. CPE 298; Svoronos 590. 17.84g, 23mm, 12h.

NGC graded AU 5/5 - 3/5, countermark (#6158066-003). Very Rare.
