Kingdom of Macedon, temp. Alexander III - Philip III AV Quarter Stater. ‘Amphipolis’, circa 330-320 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested helmet decorated with a coiled serpent / Τhunderbolt, club and bow; AΛEΞANΔΡΟΥ across fields. Price 165 var. (rev. legend placement); SNG Alpha Bank 466; De Nederlandsche Bank, Amsterdam RE-04705 (same dies); HGC 3.1, 897a. 2.14g, 11mm, 6h.

NGC graded Ch VF 5/5 - 3/5, edge marks (#6158069-006). A rare variant; only one example in the Pella archive with this rev. legend placement.
