Description

Thessaly, Larissa Fourrée Drachm. Circa 369-360 BC. Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly to right, with hair in ampyx / Horse standing to right, preparing to lie down; ΛAPIΣ-AIΩN above and below. For prototypes, cf. Lorber, Hoard, Middle Series 1, BCD Thessaly I 1149, BCD Thessaly II 283 and HGC 4, 441 (all with horse to left). 5.73g, 18mm, 9h.

Extremely Fine. Imitating a very rare type.
