Description

Eastern Celts, 'Kolchis' AV Stater. Imitating types of Alexander and Lysimachos. Late 2nd - mid 1st century BC. Celticised head of Athena to right; large pellets around / Celticised figure of Nike standing facing; two pellets to left and to right. Cf. D.M.
