Poitiers mint, first period coinage, struck from 21 January 1423. ✠ KAROLVS ⁑ DЄI ⁑ GRACIA ⁑ FRAꞂCORVᙏ ⁑ RЄX, crowned coat-of-arms of France / ✠ XPC ★ VINCIT ★ XPC ★ RЄGNAT ★ XPC ★ INPЄRAT, cross fleurée with star at centre; all within double linear quadrilobe, each arc ending in lis, crown in spandrels. Duplessy 453; Ciani 614; Friedberg 306. 3.94g, 28mm, 2h.
