India, British Colonial. Victoria (1837-1901) CU Original Proof 1/2 Anna. Calcutta mint, 1877. VICTORIA EMPRESS, crowned bust to left / HALF ANNA INDIA 1877 in four lines within ornate border. KM 487. 12.65g, 31mm, 12h.
Mint State; in spectacular condition with light aquamarine iridescence on reverse. Very Rare; re-strikes are common but original proofs are very rarely available, with none for 1877 in CoinArchives.
