Anonymous AR Didrachm (Quadrigatus). Uncertain mint, 225-214 BC. Laureate head of Janus / Jupiter, holding sceptre and brandishing thunderbolt, in quadriga driven to right by Victory; ROMA incuse on raised 'inverted-trapeze' tablet below. Crawford 29/3; BMCRR Romano-Campanian 78-99; RSC 23. 6.70g, 23mm, 8h.

Near Mint State; light flatness from strike on obv., struck from dies of uncommonly beautiful style.
