Description

Thrace, Byzantion AR Tetradrachm. In the name and types of Lysimachos. Circa 175-150 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to right, ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ crowned by Nike to right, monogram to left, ΒΥ on throne, elaborate trident left in exergue.
