Description

Roman Empire, Probus, Antoninian, Serdica - very rare INVICTVS Very rare obverse legend with the INVICTVS title (invictvs = invincible). The variant with the additional letters P F (Pivs and Felix) in obverse legend is particularly rare.    The Invictvs title was first introduced in regular coinage by Aurelian. Probus later borrowed and used the title on coins struck at Serdica, Ticinum and Siscia mints.    OBVERSE: IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F INVICTVS AVG
REVERSE: CLEMENTIA TEMP = Emeperor standing right, holding sceptre surmounted by eagle, receiving globe from Jupiter standing left, holding sceptre
BUST TYPE: A2 = radiate, cuirassed and draped bust right, seen from the back
FIELD / EXERGUE MARKS: -/*/-//KA•A•
WEIGHT 3.46g / AXIS: 12 Bardzo ładny egzemplarz. Nieopisany w RIC wariant odcinka dla tej odmiany. Bardzo rzadka odmiana z INVICTVS w legendzie.
