Description

ANONYMOUS. D. Antonio Rubeo nunc primum in lucem aeditus. Mediolani, apud Io. Antonium Castellionaeum impensis D. Io. Baptistae et fratrum de Serono, 1552 In-folio (cm. 31), cc. (77) 162 (2) 164. Title page with beautiful decorative border and central typographic mark. Solid binding of time in full rigid parchment with ms titles. on the back. Title page a little burnished and slightly off-center with trimming on the right margin. A few specks and notes ms. coeval, a gap at the inner edge of the D2 paper where some letters are completed by hand. A small weakening in the lower corner of the last cards with some missing, however very marginal and genuine specimen. Two handwritten pages added between the preliminaries. VERY RARE As reported by the Iccu census and in all the copies we compared, the first two index notebooks are recomposed with a different typeface from the rest of the index. The second part presents in the autonomous little eye the title "Novissima Mediolani statuta". Prestigious edition of the Milanese statutes postulated by Catelliano Cotta. Uncommon and sought after.Cfr. Iccu; Sapori, 1922; Fontana II, 186.
