Ptolemaic Kings of Egypt. Ptolemy III Æ Dichalkon. Kyrene, circa 246-140 BC. 21 mm. 6.4 gm. Obv: Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, with aegis. Rev: ΠTOΛEMAIOY BAΣIΛEΩΣ, female head right (Libya?), with narrow cord around head and hair in long, formal curls; cornucopiae below chin. Svoronos 871 (Ptolemy II); SNG Copenhagen 442–4 (Ptolemy V); Asolati 68A (Ptolemy III).
