BYZANTINE EMPIRE; Time of Romanus III, circa 1028-1034 AD. Æ Follis (9.44 gm; 32 mm). Constantinople mint. Facing bust of Christ Pantokrator; square in each arm of nimbus, five pellets on Gospels. Rev. + IS–XS/ ЬA–ILЄ/ ЬAS–ILЄ in three lines divided by cross set on three steps. Sear 1823. Red patina. Choice VF.
