BYZANTINE EMPIRE; Heraclius, 610-641 AD. Æ 40 Nummi (5.76 gm; 26 mm). Syracuse or Constantinople(?), circa AD. 631-633. Countermark: crowned facing crowned busts of Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine, cross above / Countermarks: SCLs., bar above, and monogram. Struck on Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine 40 Nummi. Cf. BCI 322; MIB Km 6; DOC 243; Sear 884. Dark green patina. Choice EF.
