Description

EGYPT, Alexandria. Hadrian. AD. 117-138. Æ Drachm (26.10 gm; 35 mm). Alexandria mint. Dated RY 12 = AD 127/8. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right, seen from behind / Nilus reclining to left on Hippopotamus, holding reed and cornucopiae with infant Genius, who offers him wreath; (date) above. RPC III 5717; Dattari (Savio) 7752; Emmett 1015. Well struck on a nice full flan. Nicely centered. Brown reddish patina. Choice Good VF.
