Obverse, Shapur I with eagle/ Simourgh headress, facing right, monogram (?) behind the head, text obliterated, reverse, traces of fire alatr with attendants. SNS Type Ia/1b (silver drachm), Gobl-Pl2-34 (Silver drachm). This Æ type is unrecorded and extremely rare; given the drachms of this design are also of highest rarity. Sunrise 728var.(but in Bronze). Choice Good VF. Nice original find patina. Extremely Rare.
