Description

KINGS of MACEDON, Alexander III. 336-323 BC. Æ (5.96 gm; 20 mm). Uncertain mint in Asia Minor. Struck circa 323-310 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress / Bow in bow case and club; torch below. Price 2800.Lovely style. Superb strike on a nice full flan. Excellent metal. Choice FDC. Dark brown reddish patina. The best example we have ever seen. Very rare in this condition.
