Very rare mint. The attribution to this mint is not certain. Antigoneia was founded by Antigonos in 306 BC and abandoned in 301 BC after the battle of Ipsos. Then Seleukos founded Seleucia Pieria nearby. As Price suggests, this tetradrachm issue was struck from just two obverse dies. Newell suggests the style would be appropriate for Syria, while Breitenstein sees a close affinity between this series and Babylon pieces
