Nude Eros in attitude of Thanatos standing left, resting on torch.

RPC VIII online - (unassigned; ID 19784; 3 specimens).

Very rare. Thanatos was the personification of death, son of Nyx (Night) and brother of Hypnos (Sleep), as established in Theogony by Hesiod
