Obv: Facing bust of St. Demetrius (mostly obscured) .
Rev: Half length winged figure of the emperor, standing guard over the city walls.

Unusual Palaeologan type. Many of the trachae in the name of Andronicus cannot with certainty be ascribed to either Andronicus II as sole ruler or Andronicus III
