Description

IONIA. Achaemenid Period. Uncertain Satrap (Circa 350-334 BC). Ae. Uncertain mint.

Obv: Persian king in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear and bow, quiver over shoulder.
Rev: Goat standing right.

Though the exact attribution of this piece is not clear, the obverse style is very similar to the Achaemenid bronzes issue in the mid 4th century BC in Ionia. Very rare.

Condition: Near very fine.
