Description

KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). Tetradrachm. Uncertain eastern mint.

Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin.
Rev: AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ BAΣIΛEΩΣ.
Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: Vertical thunderbolt in left field, monogram below throne.

Condition: Very fine.
