TRAJAN (98-117). Cistophorus. Imitating uncertain mint in Asia Minor.

Obv: IMP CAES NERVA T AVG GERMA P M T.
Laureate head right.
Rev: COS III.
Aquila between two signa.

Though of fairly good style, this issue features an unknown obverse legend for Trajan's cistophori, along with a reverse type for Nerva (the aquila and signa reverse type for Trajan is known as either COS II or TR POT COS II, but not COS III). Very rare

Condition: Very fine.
