Macrinus (AD 217-218) AR-Denarius (20mm, 3.69 g, 6h). Rome mint; 4th officina; 3rd emission, AD 218.
Obv. IMP C M OPEL SEV MACRINVS AVG, Laureate and draped bust right, wearing long beard, seen from behind.
Rev. P M TR P II COS P P, Annona standing to left, holding cornucopia and grain ears over modius containing grain ears set on ground to left.
RIC IV 26; BMCRE 41; RSC 47a (Antioch).

A very appealing specimen with an outstanding portrait of the finest style. Well struck from fresh dies on a broad flan with a light toning.
