Mysia, Attaea AE (Bronze, 10.01g, 27mm) Marcus Aurelius (161-180) for Commodus (Augustus) Magistrate: Rufus (strategos), Issue: Commodus as co-emperor of Marcus (c. 179–180)
Obv: ΑΥΤο Κ Λ Α [Κο]Μ[ο]ΔΟϹ; laureate-headed bust of Commodus (lightly bearded) wearing cuirass and paludamentum, right, seen from centre
Rev: ΕΠΙ ϹΤΡ ΡοΥΦοΥ ΑΤΤΑΙΤΩΝ (Φ shaped as ·Ι·); to left, nude youth (founding hero?) standing with left foot on cippus, right, leaning forward, resting both hands on left thigh; to right, cult statue of Zeus standing on base, facing, head, left, holding thunderbolt over eagle and long sceptre; before base, child(?)
