Description

Seleukid Kings of Syria, Antiochos IV Epiphanes (175-164 BC), Hierapolis on the Pyramos (Kastabala), AE (Bronze, 5.53 g, 17.7 mm), quasi-municipal issue.
Obv: Diademed and radiate head of Antiochos IV to right.
Rev: [ΙΕΡΟ]ΠΟΛΙΤΩ[Ν] / [ΤΩΝ] ΠΡΟΣ ΤΩ[Ι] / [ΠΥ]ΡΑΜΩ[Ι], eagle with closed wings standing left, below monogram.
