Kings of Macedon, Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC) AR Drachm (Silver, 4.08g, 17mm) Lifetime-early posthumous issue of Colophon, ca 323-319 BC.
Obv: Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck
Rev: AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in outstretched right hand, grounded scepter in left; chelys (lyre) in left field.
