Description

Mysia, Pergamon, cistophoric tetradrachm (Silver, 27.8 mm, 12.50 g), ca 92-88 BC.
Obv. Serpent emerging from cista mystica with open lid, all within ivy wreath with fruits.
Rev. Two serpents entwined around bow and bowcase, ΠEPΓ monogram of Pergamon to left, serpent-entwined staff of Asclepius to right, AΣ above ΠPYT monogram between snakes heads.
