Theodosius II (402-450) AR Solidus (Gold, 4.40g, 21mm) Constantinopolis, 408-420.
Obv: D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG, Helmeted, pearl-diademed and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II facing, his head turned slightly to right, holding spear over his shoulder in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman spearing fallen enemy, on his left shoulder.
Rev: CONCORDI-A AVGG B / CONOB, Constantinopolis, helmeted and head to right, seated facing on throne, holding scepter in her right hand and Victory on globe in her left and placing her right foot on a prow; in field to left, star.
