PAMPHYLIA. Side. Tetradrachm (circa 200-190 BC). ΔΗ magistrate.
Obv: Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet; on bowl, countermark: Seleukid anchor within oval incuse; behind, countermark: bee between three pellets within oval incuse.
Rev: Nike advancing to left, holding wreath in her right hand; to left, pomegranate and ΔΗ.

Most likely the Bee- countermark was applied in Ephesos to revaluate coins of old Attic standard to the cistophoric standard, that has been introduced in circa 180 BC.
