Left bust of Saint Lambert in episcopal vestments, wearing a mitre., Shield under a crowned ermine mantle., Graded PCGS Genuine Cleaned-UNC Details. Extremely rare coin struck at only 150 copies, to mark the vacant seat of the bishopric of Liège between the death of Prince-Bishop François Charles de Velbrück on 30 April 1784 and the episcopal ordination of César-Constantin-François de Hoensbroeck on 19 December of the same year! This splendid Patagon has hardly been in circulation and was probably quickly taken out of circulation to be collected. Unfortunately, one will regret the old cleaning, having left hairlines in the fields, but the flan is now covered in a beautiful cabinet patina with iridescent and golden tones. Despite the obvious care taken in its manufacture, there are a few stike weaknesses, as well as die clogs on the obverse legend in ENSIS and on the reverse in the point of the V of VACANTE. Buste à gauche de Saint Lambert en habits épiscopaux et portant une mitre., Écu sous un manteau d'hermine couronné., Gradée PCGS Genuine Cleaned-UNC Details. Splendide et rarissime monnaie frappée à seulement 150 exemplaires, à l'occasion du siège vacant de l'évêché de Liège entre le décès du prince-évêque François Charles de Velbrück le 30 avril 1784 et l'ordination épiscopale de César-Constantin-François de Hoensbroeck le 19 décembre de la même année ! Ce magnifique patagon n'a presque pas circulé et à probablement été rapidement sorti de la circulation pour être collectionné. On regrettera malheureusement un nettoyage ancien, ayant laissé des hairlines dans les champs, le flan s'est néanmoins recouvert d'une très belle patine de médailler aux reflets dorés et iridescents. Malgré un soin évident mis à sa fabrication, on obverse quelques faiblesses de frappe, ainsi que des bouchures de coin au niveau des légendes de droit dans ENSIS et de revers dans la pointe du V de VACANTE.
