Bust of Zeno, helmeted, pearl-diademed, cuirassed, facing front, holding spear in right hand behind head and shield decorated with horseman on left arm, Victory, winged, draped, standing right, supporting long jeweled cross; star in right field, Touchstone mark at 11. Very interesting aspect, this solidus seems to have been re-struck on an older solidus. Features of the head of a Victory can be seen under the reverse engraving, at the ‘CONOB’., D N ZENO PERP AVG, VICTORIA AVGGG S // CONOB

Buste de Zénon, casqué, coiffé d'un diadème de perles, cuirassé, de face, tenant une lance de la main droite derrière la tête et un bouclier orné d'un cavalier au bras gauche, Victoire, ailée, drapée, debout à droite, soutenant une longue croix ornée de bijoux ; étoile dans le champ droit, Trace de pierre de touche à 11h. Aspect très intéressant, ce solidus semble avoir été refrappé sur un solidus plus ancien. On devine les traits de la tête d'une Victoire sous la gravure du revers, au niveau du "CONOB"., D N ZENO PERP AVG, VICTORIA AVGGG S // CONOB
