Head of Maximian, laureate, right, Maximian, draped, cuirassed, galloping right, spearing enemy with right hand and holding shield in left hand; below, fallen enemy, Graded NGC Ch AU Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5. Superb specimen, with minor circulation signs, light traces of wear on the beard of the portrait or on the highest parts of the reverse engraving. Light scratches in the fields on the observe and reverse. A specimen rarely seen in sales in the last twenty years, less than 10 examples seem to have been in public auctions, and no specimen has been referenced in public collections (RIC VI Cyzicus 3). Tête de Maximien Hercule, lauré, à droite, Maximien, drapé, cuirassé, chevauchant à droite, transperçant un ennemi de sa lance dans la main droite et tenant un bouclier de sa main gauche ; dessous, un ennemi tombé au combat., Gradé NGC Ch AU Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5. Magnifique exemplaire, très peu d'usure de circulation, légères sur la barbe du portrait ou sur les plus hauts reliefs du revers. De légères rayures dans les champs au droit et au revers. Un spécimen très peu vu dans les ventes ces vingt dernières années, moins de 10 exemplaires semblent avoir été dans les ventes publiques, et aucun exemplaire n'a été référencé dans les collections publiques (RIC VI Cyzicus 3).
