However, other mints, such as Saint-Marcel in Chalon-sur-Saône in the Côte-d'Or or Saint-Maurice, may also be associated with this denarius. With this type of obverse with its unusual monogram, this example should be compared with the denarius from the OGN-Numismatique sale on 18 June 2009 (Lot 62), whose reverse legend is on one line: SCI under a tilde and MAR under a second tilde. The latter, of better quality but equally rare, sold for €9500 excluding costs.

Avec ce type d'avers au monogramme inédit, cet exemplaire est à rapprocher du denier issu de la vente OGN-Numismatique du 18 juin 2009 (Lot 62) dont la légende de revers est sur une ligne: SCI sous un tilde et MAR sous un second tilde. Ce dernier, de meilleure qualité mais de rareté équivalente avait réalisé 9500€ hors frais.
