Denmark Medal 1976 Jack the Dullard. Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Denmark's world famous storyteller Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875). The obverse of the medal bears a classical style left-facing portrait of Andersen in high-relief. It's reverse design features a scene from Andersen's story Clumsy Hans (Jack the Dullard) showing Hans on his goat trying to keep up with his horse-mounted brothers who are on their way to see the Princess and ask for her hand in marriage.
