Pompeius Magnus right; behind, jug; in front, lituus / [PRAEF] / CLAS ET ORAE (AE ligate) / MARIT (MAR ligate) EX S C Neptune standing left, holding aplustre in his right hand and resting his right foot on prow; to his left and right, the brothers Anapias and Amphinomus, with their parents on their shoulders, running in opposite directions.

Beautiful dark old cabinet toning with a light iridescence. Very attractive specimen. Reverse off-centre with areas of weakness. Otherwise, about extremely fine.
