A Roman Gold Ring with a Banded Glass Intaglio
Circa 1st century AD.
Hollow gold ring with oval bezel set with a multi-colour banded glass intaglio depicting a standing figure of probably Eros (?). Somewhat bent/deformed and repaired.
Ring size 53 (EU); Gold! 1.52 g Ex European private collection, acquired on the German art market before 2000.
