A Roman Lead Statuette of Venus Pudica
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
Venus is depicted nude but for a mantle covering her left leg and gathered at her left hip; a staff to her left. Set on a profiled round base that is now bent. Head missing.
H 73 mm Ex European private collection, acquired on the German art market before 2000.
