A Small Roman Bronze Statuette of Mercury
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
A stylised representation of Mercury on a profiled round base; the god is wearing a winged cap and a cloak over his left shoulder and arm, probably holding the herald's staff (caduceus) in his left hand, and a money bag (marsupium) in his right. Bottom of base slightly damaged; somewhat rough surface.
