A Roman Bronze Gladiator Brooch of a Thraex
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
The brooch features a Thraex (Thracian) standing front, wearing a plumed helmet and greaves. He is holding a rectangular shield and short sword with curved blade (sica). An interesting gladiatorial piece. Hinged, iron pin not preserved. Some earthen deposits.
