AN EARLY BYZANTINE BROOCH AND A HORSE APPLIQUE
Circa 6th-7th century AD.
An equal-ended brooch decorated with nimbate busts, spring and pin missing; and an applique in the shape of a horse, a stud and remains of two lugs on the reverse.
L 44 mm, and L 40 mm Ex European private collection, acquired on the German art market in the late 1990s.
