A ROMAN BRONZE STATUETTE OF A THRACIAN HORSEMAN
Circa 2nd-3rd century AD.
The hero with long hair tied into a knot at the back of the head is shown wearing a cuirass or scale armour and a cloak over his shoulder; his right arm raised, and the left held out. Left lower arm missing, some surface pitting.
H 75 mm Ex European private collection, acquired on the German art market in the late 1990s.
